Every company has recurring obligations. Use this as a starting checklist and confirm dates with a professional.
- Board meetings and AGM: hold the required meetings and keep minutes.
- Statutory audit: appoint an auditor and complete the audit.
- Financial statements and annual return: file with the Registrar of Companies within the due dates after the AGM.
- Director KYC: directors complete annual KYC.
- Income tax return and tax audit where applicable.
- GST and TDS returns through the year.
- Registers and records: maintain statutory registers.
Missing filings leads to additional fees and, over time, serious consequences for the company and its directors. A compliance calendar and a professional on retainer are the easiest safeguards.
